A friend (hi Melia!) had been making sugar cookies for a few years and was branching into cakes and weddings. I have dabbled in cupcakes for years but thought her sugar cookies looked and tasted amazing and wanted to learn. Then Melia made my wedding cakes (6 of them!) and I watched a lot of youtube videos and made the cookies.
